Meeting Held After Chairperson’s Return From Visit
During her trip, she and Secretary BISP Amer Ali Ahmad met with representatives from the State Bank of Pakistan, Karandaaz, Islamic Development Bank (IsDB), Lives & Livelihoods Fund (LLF), and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF). The meeting evaluated the progress of these important discussions.
The main objective of these discussions, Senator Rubina Khalid emphasized, was to investigate methods and possible partnerships to improve the lives of BISP recipients.
BISP To Be Partnered With LLF & BMGF
To uplift the BISP beneficiaries and provide greater relief and support to them, BISP is looking for stronger and long-lasting partnerships with international parties so that they can receive good funds for upgrading the lives of registered women in the Benazir Kafalat Program.
Rubina Khalid mentioned that the Women Empowerment Wing BMGF and the LLF had shown a great desire to collaborate with BISP on skill-training programs that would empower worthy people.
Importance Of Collaborations For BISP People
With a focus on utilizing their financial and technical know-how to benefit BISP’s target communities, the Chairperson directed senior BISP officials to write a concept note detailing possible partnerships with LLF, BMGF, and the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD).
Senator Rubina Khalid stated, “We have opportunities ahead of us, and we must use them effectively to further support our beneficiaries.” In order to guarantee consistent progress on these projects, she also ordered that review sessions be conducted every 15 days.
