The largest “School Nutrition Programme” Was started by CM (Maryam Nawaz)

A recent update from the Punjab government is here. As part of the School Nutrition Programme, the Chief Minister of Punjab has launched the largest meal program in Pakistan’s history to provide free milk packs to 400,000 children every day. On 5th September 2024, this program will begin in the largest government school in Dera Gazi Khan and will run for three years.

School Nutrition Programme Started In DG Khan – 8171 Update
Earlier, Maryam Nawaz promised to provide milk to primary school students in Punjab. Today, she fulfilled her promise by launching the first phase of the School Nutrition Programme in Dera Ghazi Khan. During her speech at the schools, she announced that this initiative would spread across the entire Punjab very soon and that 4 lakh children would receive 175ml of milk a day as soon as possible.

Free milk has been provided to Punjab’s region
In South Punjab, the program will reach over 400,000 kids in the following three districts:
A 175 ml milk pack will be given to every student in areas with the highest child malnutrition rates. The empty packs will be recycled to raise funds for the schools.

What Changes Will Be Made In Schools – CM’s Order
Maryam Nawaz stated during her speech at DG Khan’s School that the administration is committed to implementing changes that will enhance the curriculum and general education quality. In addition, she stressed the importance of modernizing school sports facilities to ensure children’s comprehensive development.
Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat’s Ministry of Education has been working nonstop to serve the public and use resources ethically, the minister said.
For the next five years, all government schools will receive free milk!
During a visit to a government primary school in Dera Ghazi Khan, Education Minister Maryam Nawaz distributed milk packs to the kids and spoke with them about education and health.
In addition to encouraging the children to love and serve their country, the Chief Minister urged other provincial leaders to support this program.
