Punjab starts distributing Kisan Cards to 5 lakh farmers on October 15

The distribution of 40 thousand Kisan cards has begun

On 10th September 2024, the CM of Punjab announced the commencement of Kisan Cards distribution to registered people, and 40,000 cards will be distributed to farmers at first. After 15 October, farmers can use this card to obtain subsidised input items for their crops.

10 ستمبر 2024 کو وزیراعلیٰ پنجاب نے رجسٹرڈ لوگوں میں کسان کارڈز کی تقسیم شروع کرنے کا اعلان کیا اور اس کے آغاز میں وہ کسانوں کو چالیس ہزار کارڈ دیں گے۔ کسان 15 اکتوبر کے بعد اس کارڈ کا استعمال کر سکتے ہیں اور اپنی فصلوں کے لیے سبسڈی والی ان پٹ اشیاء حاصل کر سکتے ہیں۔ مریم نواز نے وزیراعلیٰ کے اقدامات کے بارے میں ایک میٹنگ کی جس میں انہوں نے پنجاب میں جلد چھ اہم منصوبے شروع کرنے کا اعلان کیا جن میں کسان کارڈ کی تقسیم، زرعی سامان کے پائلٹ پراجیکٹ کا آغاز، گرین ٹریکٹر سکیم، ایگریکلچر گریجویٹ انٹرن شپ اور ٹیوب ویل سولرائزیشن شامل ہیں۔

A meeting about CM Initiatives was held by Maryam Nawaz, during which she announced that she would launch six main projects in Punjab soon, including the Kisan Card, the Start of the Agricultural Goods Pilot Project, the Green Tractor Scheme, the Agriculture Graduates Internship, and Tube Well Solarization.

How to Register For The CM Kisan Card Through Office

In order for diversity to be able to easily obtain the Kisan Card on a single visit, it is very important to understand how the registration process works:

Kisan Cards provide loans up to 150,000 rupees to farmers

The Punjab government has announced to provide loans from 30,000 per acre to 150,000 Rs for farmers who use Kisan Cards so that they are able to grow crops on a large scale and get a profitable output.

Kisan Card Components:

  • Online enrollment will be available for farmers.
  • The program is open to all farmers who own up to 12.5 acres of land.
  • There must be a mobile SIM card linked to the farmer’s CNIC (PMD verified).
  • A loan will be provided to landowners whose land records are accessible through PLRA.
  • Farmers will be digitally validated by creating an interface between the PLRA record and the farmer’s registration database (managed by PITB).
  • After land registration and verification, as well as verification from PMD, eECIB, and NADRA, the Bank of Punjab will provide the farmer with a Chief Minister Kissan Card.
  • The loan program will initially be available to 500,000 farmers on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • It is possible for a farmer to borrow a maximum of Rs. 150,000 for 5 acres per season (at a rate of PKR 30,000 per acre).

4 agriculture mall projects have been approved by the CM

In addition to the Kisan Card program, the meeting also approved the Pilot Agricultural Mall Project, which would provide farmers with access to agricultural supplies, seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, and loans in four major Punjabi districts:

  • Okara, 
  • Bahawalpur, 
  • Sahiwal, 
  • and Sargodha

Also approved was the Fresh Agriculture Graduates Intern Program, which will teach 1,000 agriculture graduates in Punjab, as well as 10,000 tractors to farmers under the CM Green Tractor Scheme.
