Punjab School Timings Revised: Latest Schedule for Lahore & Other Regions

This is the latest update for all Punjab students, as the government has changed the school timings. Starting on October 28th, the new schedule will be followed. This action has been taken in a bid to counter the rising smog which has become one of the leading problems in Lahore and is primarily caused by vehicles and industries.

Punjab announces new school timings
The Punjab Environment Protection Department has announced new school schedules to address the deteriorating pollution conditions in Lahore.
On October 28, school hours will change to 8:45 am. This is because Lahore’s Air Quality Index (AQI) has risen beyond 150, posing significant health risks to children and the elderly.

School Timings For Double Shift
There will be no first shift on Fridays, with the first shift ending at 12:45 p.m. Instead, the second shift will run from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. instead of the regular 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. schedule on Fridays.
Aside from this, the letter stated that teachers must report to school by 8:30 a.m. and end their workday by 3 p.m.
