Punjab Honahar Merit Scholarship Program Is Open For 25,000 Students
All eligible students in the 8171 ehsaas program beneficiaries will be informed that the Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has approved a new scholarship program called the Punjab Honahar Merit Scholarship Program. Scholarships to be increased from 4,000 to 25,000 under Maryam Nawaz Command
During a meeting chaired by the Chief Minister of Punjab Maryam Nawaz, in Lahore, about the Punjab Scholarship Schemes for the students, she not only approved the Honahar Merit Scholarship Scheme for the students, but also instructed the authorities to increase the number of students from 4000 to 25,000.

100% Free University Scholarships Available for Punjab Students
Maryam Nawaz also decided to grant scholarships to students who have completed their bachelor’s degree during this meeting. As part of a special meeting of the Higher Education Department on Saturday, the chief minister announced that the scholarship would cover all tuition costs for students pursuing a bachelor’s degree from 8 private and government universities.
Maryam Advocates Private Sector Support to Expand Higher Education in Remote Areas
According to Maryam, private sector participation would provide greater opportunities for higher education for youth in remote areas if the private sector is supported to promote higher education.
In Jhelum, Vehari, and Bahawalnagar, the CM ordered the establishment of new universities. She reviewed recommendations for setting up universities through public-private partnerships and agreed to facilitate the private sector in this process.

Prime Minister’s Laptop Scheme Relaunched For Students
An additional Rs69.74 billion has been allocated by the provincial government for educational purposes as part of the laptop scheme. The government will begin buying laptops to give to students in the next fiscal year.

CM Praises Successful Free MD CAT and E CAT Classes, Calls for Expansion to Remote Areas
According to the chief minister, 90 colleges across Punjab have successfully implemented free MD CAT and E CAT courses. In her opinion, the scope of free MD CAT and E CAT classes in colleges should be gradually expanded for students from remote areas. She appreciated Rana Sikandar Hayat’s and the Higher Education Department’s performance.
Dr. Farrukh Naveed, Secretary of Higher Education, provided a detailed briefing during the meeting. The meeting was attended by senior provincial ministers Marriyum Aurangzeb and Rana Sikandar Hayat. Other officers present included the Chief Secretary, Chairman of P&D, Finance Secretary, Principal Secretary to the CM, and others.
