Lahore’s inaugural CM Punjab Model Cart available at 19 locations

The Chief Minister of Pakistan has officially launched the first Punjab Model Cart Bazaar in Lahore, which is also the first of its kind in the entire country. Street stallholders play a crucial role in boosting the local economy, but they often lack a permanent location and may have to set up on streets, sidewalks, or other areas. 

وزیر اعلیٰ پاکستان نے لاہور میں پہلے پنجاب ماڈل کارٹ بازار کا باضابطہ آغاز کیا ہے جو کہ پورے ملک میں اپنی نوعیت کا پہلا بازار ہے۔ سٹریٹ سٹال ہولڈرز مقامی معیشت کو فروغ دینے میں ایک اہم کردار ادا کرتے ہیں، لیکن ان کے پاس اکثر مستقل جگہ کی کمی ہوتی ہے اور انہیں سڑکوں، فٹ پاتھوں یا دیگر علاقوں میں لگانا پڑ سکتا ہے۔ موصولہ اطلاعات کے مطابق یہ ماڈل گاڑیاں لاہور میں 19 مقامات پر رکھی جائیں گی۔ حکومت کا مقصد ان میں سے 12,000 گاڑیاں بنانا ہے تاکہ منظم اور قانونی ماحول میں پسماندہ افراد کو روزگار کے مناسب مواقع فراہم کیے جاسکیں۔

According to the received information, these model carts will be placed at 19 locations in Lahore. The government aims to create 12,000 model carts to offer proper employment opportunities for the underprivileged in organized and legal settings.

CM Model Carts Deployed At LOS Road As An Initial Trial

To assess the progress and impact of model carts, they were initially introduced on LOS Road, benefiting customers, vendors, and the economy.

At the Morriyya Pull to Delhi Gate, designated areas have been set up for street vendors, complete with clean and spacious surroundings. Each cart boasts a distinctive design for easy identification.

Each cart is assigned a unique Barcode Number for identification purposes. Additionally, the Model Cart Bazaar has expanded to include locations in Shadman and other selected areas.

During a video recording session, the Bazar model carts seller shared that these cards have brought about a significant transformation in their life. They have discovered a reliable means of supporting their family and earning a decent income.
