Himmat Card Program to Provide ATM Cards to 65,000 Beneficiaries

As a result of the Punjab Government’s latest initiative for disabled and eligible people who live their lives as burdens on others, Punjab has launched a new and very assistive initiative for the disabled and unemployed to live their lives with full self-esteem and without being dependent on others. Using Maryam Nawaz Himmat’s ATM card, BOP will distribute 65000 ATM cards to registered people. With these cards, they will receive a quarterly payment of 10,500.

As a result of her disability, Maryam Nawaz launched an important and effective social assistance program for those living a dependent life and unable to work. Under the guidance of the Provincial Minister of Social Welfare and Bait ul Mal, Sohail Shokat butt, Bop, the Social Welfare Department will soon introduce the Himmat card.

Become Independent Through the Punjab Himmat Card

For the first time in Punjab, this scheme is offering financial assistance to disabled people to meet their basic needs. They do not need to depend on other people for their small needs and desires because they fulfill all their daily needs through government funds, thus increasing their self-respect. The Punjab Himmat card not only makes them independent but also increases their self-respect.

Who Can Apply For BOP’s ATM Card? – 6 Eligibility Criteria

To register in the Punjab Himmat Card Program, the Punjab government has determined the following six eligibility requirements:

  • Must be a resident of Punjab province
  • Possess a valid disability certificate
  • Unable to work due to disability
  • PMT score below 45
  • Should not be a government employee
  • Must not be receiving aid from Zakat, PSPA, or BISP programs

Two Phases Of Himmat Card 

The Punjab Government plans to disburse the Himmat Card in two phases:

  • BOP will distribute 40,000 Himmat Cards in the first phase.
  • Punjab Himmat Cards will be issued to 25,000 eligible individuals in the second phase.

As part of this scheme, the Punjab Government allocates a special quota for female applicants, and according to their criteria, a 30% Women Quota has been set, illustrating that the CM is not neglecting any section of society.

Furthermore, 187 officers have been assigned to conduct a door-to-door survey for the verification of special people, and they are performing their duty with complete sincerity.

6 Requirements For Verification Of Applicant

Listed below are six important requirements for verification:

  1. Proof of Disability Certificate: Provide a valid disability certificate from a recognized authority.
  2. Proof of Life or Death: Provide documentation confirming the individual’s life or death status.
  3. CNIC (Computerized National Identity Card): Present the original CNIC for identification.
  4. Biometric Thumbprint: Complete the biometric thumbprint verification.
  5. Current House Address Verification: Verify or submit proof of the current residential address.
  6. Accuracy of Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all personal information.
