A New Government Project Of 35 Billion Promises The Best Healthcare Facilities In Islamabad

Prime Minister Shabaz Sharif has promised better health facilities for the residents of Islamabad through a new mega project worth Rs 35 billion to all the people of Pakistan.

According to Azam Nazeer Tarar, the Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, Law, and Justice, the federal government, led by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, has begun a massive project worth Rs 35 billion to build state-of-the-art medical facilities in the federal capital.

In response to Asia Naz Tanoli’s calling attention notice about the notable rise in Hepatitis C cases in Islamabad, the minister explained that the prime minister had already started a massive program under the annual Public Sector Development Program (PSDP) with international support to provide the best facilities and medical care to Islamabad’s citizens.
Hepatitis Patient Programs
According to him, the previous government started a program for hepatitis sufferers in 2005. Since the health ministry devolved to the provinces in 2011, a federal program has been established.
However, he clarified that patients received medical care in this regard from both Poly Clinic and PIMS. According to him, only 3,664 out of over 90,000 hepatitis tests performed in PIMS during the previous year were positive.
