How the National laptops will be distributed amongst the Students [distribution strategy]

To ensure that all the laptops are distributed to the eligible applicants of PM Youth Skill Development Beneficiaries, the procedure for selecting and then distributing the laptops is highly monitored and strict.

The project has recently introduced the following advancements:

  1. When the student has submitted an online application via the HEC online portal before the deadline. The system can then classify pupils as eligible or ineligible based on that filter.
  2. Student information, including name, CNIC, department, degree level, last test percentage/CGPA, and other details, will be verified by the appropriate department’s focal person through their online account.
  3. Verification can only be done by the University Focal Person.
  4. When a discrepancy in a student’s data is discovered, it will be updated or edited to reflect it once the student receives their own record.
  5. In accordance with the application, the focal person has the authority to approve or disapprove the student or make corrections as needed.
  6. As specified in the eligibility and merit criteria, a predetermined quota will determine the number of laptops allotted to each Institute.
  7. HEC will compile merit lists for each university through an automated process on the system after the deadline for verification has passed.
  8. Afterwards, HEC will distribute the interim merit list to the institutes for cross-checking, and the institutes will respond within 15 days.
  9. After eradicating any discrepancies from the provisional merit list, the HEC will distribute the final merit list among the Institutes.
  10. On their website, notice board, or social media page, institutes must post the final merit list and distribution schedule.
