CM Laptop Distribution Begins in 90 Days – Apply Now!
Great news for all university and college students in Punjab! The Chief Minister of Pakistan, Maryam Nawaz, has announced the distribution of Core i7 13th generation laptops to students. She has also set a target of achieving this within the next 90 days and has urged government officials to work towards this goal.

Within 90 days, a total of 40,000 Core i7 laptops will be distributed.
At a meeting with officials on November 20, 2024, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz declared that the Chief Minster Laptop Scheme and Honhaar Scholarship Programme will provide 40,000 core i7-13th generation laptops to deserving students. Additionally, students will also receive a case along with the laptop.
Maryam Nawaz Sharif announced that 5,000 laptops will be distributed within a month, with the remaining 35,000 CM laptops to be given to the first batch of students before February 20, 2025.
2,000 Minority And Top students will also benefit:
The laptop scheme aims to provide laptops to both majority and minority students. Along with the majority, 2000 minority students will also receive laptops. Eligibility criteria include academic success, intelligence, and a good GPA from colleges or universities.
The announcement included plans for the intermediate and FSC position holders to receive a guard of honor and laptops, under the leadership of CM Punjab.
Which field of study will students be registered for?
As per the given instructions, students in specific fields will receive laptops under the scheme.
It can be observed that the distribution of laptops by CM Punjab has been inclusive of various fields. The government has allocated these laptops to both private and government institutions based on a percentage system.
Furthermore, 32 percent of the entire distribution will be allotted to the southern region of Punjab, according to her statement.
40,000 Scholarships For Students Across Punjab:
Additionally, it was declared that the Merit Scholarship Program, overseen by Maryam Nawaz Sharif, will provide scholarships to 40,000 students.
Additionally, it was revealed that 30,000 scholarships will be awarded to students attending public educational institutions, with another 10,000 scholarships designated for those enrolled in private educational institutions.
At the briefing, it was mentioned that in addition to the previous announcement, 18,000 female students in Punjab have received scholarships through the Chief Minister Merit Scholarship Program. This program covers their tuition fees for a five-year period.
Through the provision of scholarships to deserving students, Maryam Nawaz demonstrated the importance of raising the literacy rate among girls and alleviating the financial burden on low-income families.

The CM Scholarships have received a total of 68,329 applications.
As of now, 68,329 applications have been received by the government for the merit scholarship program. Out of these, 34,290 have been accepted. Notably, universities in Punjab have submitted 15.5% more applications than the set target. This demonstrates the high demand for government-funded schemes and scholarships among students who are eager to fulfill their academic obligations.
Punjab Govt Budget Of 125 Billion For Educational Needs:
In addition, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, Chief Minister of Pakistan, stated at the meeting that the Punjab government will allocate Rs125 billion per year to cover the educational costs of 25,000 students annually.
