Himmat Card Agreement With BOP: Assistive Devices for Special People

The Chief Minister of Punjab has announced a new update for the special individuals in Punjab. Registration for Himmat Card holders can now be done through the online web portal. Additionally, an agreement has been signed with the Bank of Punjab to ensure timely payment of 10500 every quarter to all eligible special people. This project, launched by the CM, aims to improve society and provide much-needed support to families with disabled or special individuals.

Himmat Card Agreement Signed With BOP

Those who have registered for the CM Himmat Card will receive it on 15th September and after that, they will receive Rs. 10500 as a first payment. In the presence of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, an agreement has been signed between the provincial Minister of Social Welfare and Bet-ul-Mal Punjab Sohail Shaukat Butt and the Bank of Punjab for the beginning of Himmat Card Relief in a few days.

Assistive Device On Your Door Steps

The Punjab Himmat Card is an important resource for the elderly, disabled, and special individuals who are unable to care for themselves or work due to physical limitations, leading to unemployment. In recognition of their circumstances, the Punjab government will not only offer financial aid but also deliver assistive devices to their homes beginning September 15. This will enable them to have greater independence and a more comfortable lifestyle in their later years.

65000 disabled individuals will receive ATM cards from the Bank of Punjab

This scheme will provide 65,000 people with disabilities with ATM cards from the Bank of Punjab. Each recipient will receive a quarterly stipend of PKR 10,500. The rollout will be done in two phases: the first phase will involve 40,000 people with disabilities, and the second phase will involve 25,000 people with disabilities. By September 15th, funds will be disbursed via the Himmat Card.

How Does Himmat Card Benefit People?

A full-service package created for PWDs, the Himmat Card includes financial assistance as well as other services. The government currently offers a quarterly payment of Rs 7,500 to people with disabilities who qualify. This card will also be used to access any future government services.

Criteria for eligibility

To register for the Himmat Card Scheme, you must meet the following requirements:

  • The person must be certified as a person with disabilities by Social Welfare Punjab.
  • The PWD must be classified as NOT FIT TO WORK.
  • Public or private employment is inappropriate for persons with disabilities.
  • A PWD cannot have recently received funding from BISP, PSPA, Zakat Fund, Bait ul Maal, or any similar organization.
  • PMT scores issued by BISP should not exceed 37.
  • PWDs’ basic data in the DPMIS system, including their CNIC, address, phone number, education, and experience, needs to be updated.
