70,000 Students Receive Free Quality Food In KP – CM Announcement 2024

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s government has decided to start the Schools Khana Program, which will provide free meals to students in public primary schools in urban areas of all divisional headquarters.
Sardar Ali Amin Khan Gandapur, the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, presided over a meeting that made this decision on Monday. In the proposed program, 70,000 students will receive nutritious food free of charge every day. It is estimated that the program will cost Rs 50 crore a year.

Regions Where the Schools Khana Program Will First Begin?
Shahid Lone, Chief Executive Officer of Allahwale Trust, as well as other staff members, attended the meeting, along with Provincial Minister for Primary and Secondary Education Faisal Khan Tarakai, Advisor to the Chief Minister of Finance Muzamil Aslam, Additional Chief Secretary for Planning and Development Syed Imtiaz Hussain Shah, and other senior officials.
It was decided to launch the project in Abbottabad and Swat as a pilot project, with plans to expand it to other divisional headquarters in the province.
