Maryam Nawaz Sharif is ushering in a new era of healthcare in Punjab by offering free MRI services to patients in both government and private hospitals. This initiative, launched through the Public Private Partnership model, aims to bring advanced diagnostic facilities to underserved areas of the province under the direction of the Chief Minister.
The initial rollout of the MRI services project will take place in Sheikhupura and Bahawalnagar, with a signed MoU in place for its execution.

At a meeting held in Lahore on January 7, 2025, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the Chief Minister of Punjab, instructed the provincial government to initiate MRI services at district hospitals. Furthermore, she opted for the (PPP) Public-Private Partnership outsourcing approach.

The private sector will offer state-of-the-art equipment and experienced technicians in hospitals, while government hospitals will also have access to the same facilities and infrastructure.
