CM Punjab Insulin Programme 2024-25

On November 30, 2024, at the direction of Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the District Health Authority officially declared the implementation of the Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Insulin Program.

Maryam Nawaz, the Chief Minister of Punjab, consistently introduces beneficial programs for the less fortunate in her province. Recently, she and the Punjab Government combined efforts to roll out a new initiative called the Chief Minister Insulin Program, aimed at providing free insulin to children with type 1 diabetes throughout the region.

This specialized program caters to children who struggle with obtaining insulin. Eligible participants will receive an insulin card, which grants access to essential supplies such as medicine, insulin, and glucometers.

Free Insulin Registrations Open

Besides providing insulin at home, the Government of Punjab has also launched a helpline and physical registration center for families with diabetic children. This allows parents to easily enroll their children in the Chief Minister Punjab Free Insulin Program.

How to Apply Through 1033 for the CM Insuline Program

The government has established a helpline, 1033, for this program. Through this service, parents of patients can conveniently register their children and receive free insulin in iced packaging delivered directly to their doorstep.

According to Maryam Nawaz Sharif, children diagnosed with type 1 diabetes need continuous treatment. In Rawalpindi, NCDs have established offices in six districts

The District Authority (DHA) has recently established non-communication clinics (NCDs) in Rawalpindi, specifically at Tehsil Headquarters Hospital (THQs) and District Headquarters Hospital (DHQs). The purpose of these clinics is to offer diabetic patients with specialized care and services, including complimentary fresh insulin, glucometers, and parental counseling sessions. These clinics are currently available at six different locations within Rawalpindi, as indicated below.

  • Kahuta.
  • Gujar Khan.
  • Kallar Syedan.
  • Taxila.
  • Kotli Station.
  • Murree.

Easily Delivered Insulin to Patients’ Homes

In addition to organizing a free insulin program for diabetic children, the Punjab government has instructed that upon registration, insulin and glucometers will be delivered directly to the homes of eligible patients in ice-packed containers. This initiative was implemented by the Chief Minister himself.

Maryam Nawaz Sharif said ‘’I am also a mother and can understand the pain and suffering of children very well’’. 

Maryam Nawaz Sharif recommended providing type-1 diabetic children with insulin and glucometers at their homes, eliminating the need for them to make frequent trips to hospitals. This initiative aims to alleviate the financial and physical strain on children and their parents, who would otherwise have to visit hospitals repeatedly and incur expenses.

Communication sessions for Guardians:

In addition to curing children of diabetes, this program includes counseling sessions for parents. The goal is to educate parents about preventative measures that can lower the risk of diabetes for their children and promote a healthier environment for them.

Dr. Niazi’s main goal is to assist children with Type-1 diabetes achieve a healthy lifestyle through necessary treatments. He further mentioned that once data compilation is finished, supplies will be conveniently delivered to the patient’s doorstep.
