Free Google IDs For 50,000 Students As Part Of CM Punjab’s ‘Digital School On Wheels’

In collaboration with the leading IT companies, the Chief Minister of Punjab, Mariyam Nawaz, has taken big decisions that will benefit all students of government schools and colleges including 8171 Ehsaas Beneficary.
Students of Punjab have now been given access to the Digital Classroom and Chromebooks through a new project that will enhance the education system in Punjab. As well as benefitting students, teachers will also receive free digital certification courses in order to be equipped with modern technology.

CM Punjab Launches Digital School On Wheels – 2024 Update
During a meeting with the delegation on 23 June 2024, Maryam Nawaz announced the launch of “Digital School on Wheels“.
The Punjab government decided to produce Chromebooks and the Digital Schools (DS) on Wheels project after international organizations such as Allied and Google for Education agreed to collaborate. The Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz made these decisions after meeting with Allied, Tech Valley, and Google for Education, delegations led by Paul Hutchings.
Free Google IDs for 50,000 Students
50,000 free Google IDs will be given to Punjabi students as part of the Digital School on Wheels Project. Google for Education will help the Punjab government gather statistics on youngsters who are not attending school.
Moreover, Google for Education will fund a $1.5 million certification program for 15,000 university students, including certifications in artificial intelligence and antivirus software.

Digital Certification for 1,000 Punjab Teachers
Punjab will soon see the opening of the new Digital School on Wheels, which will offer free courses to assist teachers in becoming knowledgeable about the system and properly instructing their students.
A total of 1,000 government school teachers will receive free digital certification training, and 50,000 kids in Punjab will receive free Google IDs.
