Maryam Nawaz To Launch Laptop Scheme In Jan 2025 

On Wednesday, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif officially introduced the “Honhaar Scholarship Scheme” by distributing cheques to students. At Punjab University, the event began with reciting the Holy Quran. After that, the GC University musical society sang a national anthem and an Allama Iqbal poem.

The Free Laptop Scheme, which will be launched in January for all eligible and deserving students who lack access to necessary technologies to succeed in their studies, was announced by CM during the Launching Ceremony. In order to salvage their careers and ease their families’ financial worries, she also guarantees the students free scholarships to highly successful and esteemed universities.

Next Phase Of CM Laptop Scheme 2025

Maryam Nawaz announced that scholarships will be awarded regardless of a candidate’s political affiliation and that the second phase of the laptop program would start in January. “This merit-based scholarship program will turn the dreams of underprivileged students into reality,” she said.

She also unveiled a brand-new initiative that will help students start their businesses and relieve their families’ financial burden by offering loans of up to millions of rupees. “The loans will be interest-free and given in easy installments so that students can work with peace of mind.”

To make it easier for applicants to pay off their debt, she clarified that the government will assume full responsibility for any additional interest charged on the simple installment loan of up to Rs 1 crore.

30,000 Merit-Based Scholarships in Punjab

At the opening of the scholarship program, CM Maryam Nawaz said that it is her responsibility to educate talented youngsters and that true politicians are those who invest in the next generation. According to the chief minister, all choices in Punjab’s districts have been decided based on merit.

She said that 30,000 of the 70,000 scholarship applications that were submitted will be awarded, with 18,000 going to male students and 12,000 to female students.
