As part of his commitment to poverty reduction, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has approved Rs 500 million to launch IT Certificate programs aimed at improving students and professionals’ IT proficiency. To help participants stand out in a competitive job market, the program will provide industry-recognized certificates and practical skills.

The Sindh IT Secretary signed an MoU with NED University Karachi, IBA Sukkur, and Mehran University Jamshoro.

3 universities across Sindh have been approved by the CM for IT training

According to him, the chief minister has given Sindh IT department Rs. 500 million as part of the ‘Initiative of Capacity Building’ for the relevant universities as part of the initiative.

It has been informed to the Cheif Minister of Sindh that the IT Certified Program Course will include:

  • Certified Python Developer, 
  • Certified Database Administrator, 
  • Certified Graphic Designer, 
  • Certified E-Commerce Professional, 
  • Certified Digital Marketing Professional, 
  • Certified Web Developer, 
  • Certified Mobile Application Developer 
  • and Certified Data Scientist

Duration Of IT Courses Offered By Universities 

Each certificate is valid for two months, according to Secretary IT Noor Samoo. The certification courses run five days a week, Monday through Friday, with 30 to 35 participants per batch. There will be two stages to the program: the first will be IT certification, and the second will be rewarding the best participants or those who rank the highest. The centers will physically have access to all IT certifications, he said.
