BISP Urges Banks To Open 2 Service Points In Each Union Council For Better Access

In this latest Benazir Income Support Programe update, Naveed Akbar, Director General of the program, informed beneficiaries through the Morning Show that the new banks with whom 8171 BISP is partnering for the following payments will establish two service points in each union council, so beneficiaries will not have to travel a long distance to withdraw their payments.

Every Union Council level have 2 touch points for banks

In addition to saving the beneficiaries’ time, this can enable them to receive their full monthly cash of Rs 13,500.

BISP Partners With Six Banks For Payment Transfers

The Benazir Income Support Program has partnered with six more banks so that beneficiaries can easily receive their money without the fear of deduction. If anything illegal happens from their view, the program will take strict action against the banks.

According to Naveed Akbar, these banks will work closely with the BISP’s management and beneficiaries to ensure women receive their monthly payments without any deductions.

Every Union Council level have 2 touch points for banks

According to the information provided by Director General Naveed Akbar, it has been reported that BISP has ordered all partner banks to set up at least two Service Points at each Union Council across Pakistan, establishing 23,000 Touch Points across the country.

In addition to this, it has very important effects on the beneficiaries, as they will be able to receive their payments from any touchpoint since these will be formed at the level of the Union Council. As a result, women will be able to travel less distances from their homes, since they don’t have to travel long distances to camp or the Tehsil office.

They can easily visit the nearest Service Point if they don’t receive their money on the first visit, since these touch points are in their area and will reduce the distance.

Benazir Kafalat Program 13,500 New Payment Update

According to Rubina Khalid, starting in January 2025, all registered women participating in the Benazir Kafalat Program will receive 13,500 additional BISP payments using the most recent banking system. With the National Socio-Economic Registry Survey being used to enroll new beneficiaries in the BISP program, disqualified families have another chance to apply.

Kafalat payments will be made through a new banking system Shortly

As per the latest information gathered from BISP Chairperson Rubina Khalid’s interview, the Benazir Income Support Program has passed a new payment mechanism that enables Kafalat beneficiaries to receive their funds directly into their accounts without any cash deduction. Once beneficiaries have completed the biometric verification process using their thumbprint, they can withdraw the Rs 13,500 cash payment from the ATM.

In January 2024, qualifying families who sign up for the 8171 Program will receive the enhanced payment directly into their accounts, saving them from having to pay additional fees to third parties.

In conclusion

In conclusion, BISP’s initiative to set up two service points in every Union Council through its partnered banks marks a significant step towards easing payment access for beneficiaries. In addition to reducing travel time and costs for women, this move will ensure they receive their full payment of Rs 13,500 without deductions.
