Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif introduced the Livestock Card initiative to sanction numerous services for livestock kisans. The Punjab government has reserved 11 billion rupees for the Livestock Card scheme and issued Livestock Cards all over the Punjab. This unique initiative will provide interest-free loans of up to 270,000 rupees for four months to 80 thousand cow farmers.

Livestock card launch date is 15 December

The CM Livestock Card is set to be functional in all Punjab districts by 15 December 2024, the latest news for Kisans and Farmers across Punjab. The wait for the dairy cultivator will soon end. Through CM Livestock Card, Wanda, mineral mixture, and hay can be purchased wholesale from registered dairy animal food dealers.

It was recently announced that the Chief Minister Livestock Card will be activated by December 15, allowing farmers to buy cattle feed from dealers selected by the government, Punjab livestock card provincial minister, Syed Ashiq Hussain Kirmani said this, during a Memorandum of Understanding.

How To Register Through PLC 8070 For Punjab Livestock Scheme

For the Punjab Livestock Card Scheme, cattle peasants must use the PLC 8070 SMS method to register.

  • Open your mobile messenger first.
  • Open the Create Message section.
  • Now type PCL <Space>  your CNIC number.
  • Then send it to 8070 via SMS.
  • Remember you need to recharge to send this message.
  • Complete your registration now.

By December 15, farmers can use their interest-free loan amount to purchase livestock when they register for the Card at the nearest BOP Branch.

Criteria for eligibility:

To register for livestock cards, cultivators must meet the criteria established by the government.

  • The candidate must be a domesticated cattle farmer.
  • Men or Ladies both can apply.
  • It is fundamental to have a CNIC card.
  • The portable sim should be in the name of the successor farmer.
  • A rancher must have at least five heifers.
  • The age should be under 60.
  • It is important to know the record of dairy cattle stock farmers.
  • In the following 5 months, 4 months will be used for the loan, and the most recent 30 days will be used to handle the loan cashback.
  • The Kisan should be enrolled in Division 9211 of the livestock data set.

Livestock Card Scheme Budget Set to 11 Billion

Minister for Livestock Department and Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz said that the Punjab government streamlined the 11 billion rupees to build the CM Punjab Livestock Card. Through the livestock card scheme, 80,000 farmers will be able to build up 400,000 livestock animals to increase their meat and milk production. Meat produced through the livestock card scheme will also be exported to other countries.

Installment and payment plan for CM Dairy Stock Card

Peasant farmers will receive interest-free loans after four months with equal payments that must be repaid after five months. This means that the first four months will be the time when the loans can be accessed, and the fifth month will be the time when the loans have to be repaid.

A government loan is available to farmers with five to ten heifers. The government offers 27,000 rupees for one bull. For farmers with five bulls, they can get a loan of Rs 135,000, and for farmers who own ten cattle, they can get a loan of Rs 270,000 from December 15. However, the range of the without-interest loan will be between Rs 135,000 and 270,000.

Free insemination, tagging, and vaccination services are provided by the government

Punjab Livestock Card Department provides free services such as animal tagging, insemination, and vaccination. The program promotes good health and productivity of livestock and aids in the treatment of various diseases.

With the Himmat card, KisanCard, Green Tractor scheme, and ACAG program, Maryam Nawaz has rolled out a number of programs to encourage citizens of Punjab. The Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz addressed,

Furthermore, the Punjab Livestock Card Department has also provided a support line 0800-09211 for the Kisans to contact whenever they have any difficulties registering for the scheme or need any other information.
